AFTER THE CLASS: After a student completes the pre-license course, we will provide the education certificate necessary for the exam and the toll-free phone number to schedule an appointment. The student decides when and where to take the state exam.
Exam appointments should be made once a student finishes the course, the toll free number will not be given out before that time. Students have 2 years from the date you finish the course to take and pass the state exam.
The state exam consists of multiple-choice questions. A score of at least 70% is required to pass. The exam fee is $107.00, payable to the testing service on exam day.
The exam is given in Boston, Woburn, North Dartmouth every week Tuesday through Saturday, it is also given in Worcester and West Springfield Thursday through Saturday. Exam results and licenses are issued on the spot!

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires students to attend 100% of lectures in order to receive certifications.
If the school is forced to cancel a class the student is entitled to full refund less textbook or may transfer, hold or offer their credit to other students up to one year of registration date. Any course cancellation can occur within 48 hours of start time.

Recording Policy
NO TAPE RECORDERS OR VIDEO CAMERAS ALLOWED IN CLASS ROOM.
ALL CLASSES, DATES, AND TIMES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. WE RESERVE TO RIGHT TO CANCEL ANY LIVE COURSE DUE TO LACK OF REGISTRATION SUFFICIENT TO COVER THE EXPENSES TO COVER THE CLASS.
Registration, Exchanges, and Refunds: Pre-registration is advisable as we can only guarantee space for those who have done so. The final registration will take place at the first class. If a student decides to cancel his/her enrollment within 4 days of starting date, student will be charged a $50 cancellation fee. There is no refund after the first class.
Distance Education: There is a No-Refund and No-Exchange Policy once a student has logged on to an Online Course, or a CD-ROM Course has been opened. The exception is the CD-ROM Pre-Licensing 20 Hour Comprehensive SAFE Course of 20 Clock-Hour Course. Should a student decide within 3 months of purchasing the course he/she would prefer Host Group Real Estate Academy’s Live Instruction for Pre-Licensing, student may return the CD-ROM to Host Group and, if purchased the same day as the return, student will receive a $90 discount on our Host Group Live Instruction Program. Return shipping will be at the student’s expense. Although most students will complete a renewal course within a shorter time period, students have 12 months in which to complete each of our Distance Education courses. On the rare occasion that the State may pull approval of a certain course before the student has completed the course, our staff is not required to notify the student of same, and when contacted by the student, our staff will do our best to work with the student by allowing a discount on a subsequent course. Distance education courses include instructional support by Fuse, our qualified instructor of record, and students may feel free to contact him about course content between 9:00am – 4:30pm Monday through Friday. Fuse will return the call as soon as possible.
Class Hold Policy: All classes are subject to enrollment and registrations are not a confirmation that the class will be held, but we do guarantee space for those who have registered with a $50 registration fee.
Attendance and Progress: Students are required to attend all scheduled classes, and to meet the clock hour requirements. It is the responsibility of the Student to make sure sign-in and sign-out policies are practiced for full credit and attendance. If you must miss a class, or even part of a class, you will be required to make it up before receiving proof of completion. Where a final examination is required, students must pass with 80% or above before they will receive proof of completion. In both Live Instruction and Distance Education courses where required, final examinations must be retaken until passed
Class Retake Policy: Students enrolled in any of our courses may repeat their classes for up to six months of starting date at no additional cost. After six months the full tuition will be charged to take any or all additional classes.
Class Materials and Textbook Requirements: In Pre-License, students will be required to bring a Fundamental text book, basic calculator, pen/pencil, and notebook to every class. In Continuing Education Classes, text books will be Loaned to each student; all loaned text books must be returned to the school before any class certificate is issued.
Guarantee: Students enrolled in any of our courses may repeat any class lecture for up to six months of starting date at no additional cost. After six months the full tuition will be charged to take any or all classes or lectures.
State Examination: State Exam Fee and Application is the student’s responsibility. The pre-license packet will give detailed instructions. See Pearson Vue Packet.
Student Conduct: The school reserves the right to deny further class attendance to any student whose behavior is disruptive and interferes with the learning process. This includes reading of newspapers or other outside materials. All car phones and pagers must be in the silent mode and must not be used during class time. No taping or audio/visual equipment is allowed in class at any time. Smoking is not allowed in the classroom or building at any time. There will be periodic breaks during the session so that those who wish to smoke may use designated areas outside the building.
Shipping and Returns: If a mail order is received before 2:00pm on a Business day, it will be shipped the same day.
